Into its ninth year, IGNITE! Music Festival gives students a chance to experience what running an event is like. Attention is usually paid to the talents onstage, but the students behind the scenes also have significant roles to play.

PERFORMANCE CHECK: The media crew takes charge of all footage at this year’s festival. Muhammad Rifaee Bin Sidek, 19, joined IGNITE!’s media crew this year after filming under RP’s Film Fac-tory Interest Group (IG) for two years. With the knowledge he gained from being the Vice President of his IG in 2015, Rifaee teaches his fellow crew members the proper format and checks their equipment settings before filming.
